SEPTEMBER 2007
We had another fun filled month with a birthday, a trip to Philly, fall soccer for Dylan and everyone getting into the fall groove!

First we finished Dylan's new room. He loves his dinosaur sheets. The room is blue on the top half (including ceiling), brown on the bottom half with a green chair rail in the middle (that is somewhat magnetic...magnetic paint does not work great but it works with small magnets). He was very excited about making his bed into the bunk bed at first but the top bunk has since been removed at his request. Oh well.

Jonny was playing with the new camera and one of the features is to make a pic in black and white except for one color. I thought this was a cute pic of Colin in his overalls.

The boys took the toys out of their toy cupboard and decided to get in themselves. There is kind of a Brady Bunch-esque feel to the picture isn't there?

We went to Philly to visit Arati, Tom and Neil and, as luck would have it, Beth, Dave, Amanda and Jace were in town from Boston as well! We always joke that when we all get together, one of us is pregnant. Last time Arati and I were pregnant. This time Beth was pregnant (and Arati was newly pregnant as well!)! We will have to stop this trend soon though or else we will not be able to afford to get together! Here are all the kids looking out the window while waiting for a seat at IHOP.

We also went to the Aquarium in New Jersey. Neil, Tom, Arati, Jonny and Colin enjoyed watching the seals.

Even though we celebrated Jonny's birthday in Philly, we still had a small celebration when we got home. Dylan decorated the cake all by himself! He did a great job!

AUGUST 2007

As the summer came to an end, we had some more fun times.
We got to meet Wilson Andrew Bullions! He is such a cutie.

Then we went to AZ to celebrate Bryan's 30th birthday. Lucky for us, Nikki Alamare Lifshitz was born a few days before we arrived so we got to meet her. She is adorable and will rule her 4 boy cousins one day!

While we were in AZ, we spent an afternoon with a good friend of Carrie's from college, Alissa and her kids JT and Maddie. The 4 kids had fun and it was nice to see them all together....finally!

When we got back from AZ, Dylan had his first day of preschool at Gan Shalom preschool. He was very excited and had a great time!

Colin celebrated QT with Mommy while Dylan was at school by wearing his bowl! Funnily enough, there is a picture of Carrie doing this exact thing when she was his age.

Jonny and the boys joined our neighbor, Mr. Bud, at a local river bed. Seeing the kids with Mr. Bud warms my heart because he reminds both Jonny and I so much of Dad. It is sweet to see him with the kids; especially Colin.

July 2007 Part Deux!

We went to Cinci for a few days but, alas, Baby Bullions did not make his appearance while we were there. On the plus side, we had fun and the boys (ALL of them) got to enjoy some yummy ice cream.

Then it was off to Philadelphia for Carrie, Dylan and Colin (while Jonny was at a conference). We had fun with Arati, Neil and Tom.....as always.

Apparantly Colin and Neil are young Mozarts!

July 2007
Whew...I am getting tired! July was really exciting. Another trip and some visitors kept us busy once again. Who said summers were relaxing?

In the beginning of the month, we went to Minnesota to meet up with some Brr mama families. Here is what three of those families look like at lunch! Andrea and her family, Carla and her family, and us!

And here are the Brr mamas and the Brr babies (from left): Lindsey and Aiden (Detroit, MI), Carla and Heather (Hanover, Ontario), Kari and Bennet (Wausau, WI), Andrea and Talan (Godfrey, IL), Brenda and Tyler (Watertown, SD), me and Colin, Amy and Allie (Chicago, IL).

Colin in his new favorite spot. Every time I do laundry, he manages to climb in the dryer!

When we got back from Minnesota, Wayne, Eva, Max and Simon came to visit! We had so much fun showing them around Lexington. Once again, the slip n slide and sprinklers came out to cool us down!

Max and Dylan started out on two blow up mattresses on the floor; when we came in to check on them, they were both in Dylan's bed. The first night they stayed up talking until midnight! What can two 4 year olds possibly talk about for that long?? It was VERY cute.

At the Lexington Children's Museum Simon and Colin enjoyed a mock horse ride.

Can you sense a horse theme? Well for heaven's sake we live in the horse capital of the world! Some day we might actually gt a picture of Dylan and Colin on a real horse!

June 2007
June was also a whilrwind of events! My goodness this summer is turning out to be exhausting! These are not necessarily in order of date.

One special thing that happened was Issy celebrated his 60th birthday and Wayne, Jonny and Bryan went to CA to surprise him at his birthday party.

Arati, Tom and Neil came for a visit. Colin and Neil had fun together.

Neil and Dylan definitely get along well!

A cute brother picture.

OK, OK...do not call CPS on me...Dylan actually ASKED to do this. Apparently he had fun doing it! Crazy kid!

We brought out the slip n slide again! I think we may need to buy a new one next year...this one has certainly gotten a lot of use and abuse!

Dylan and Aaron have a "serious" conversation at a play area!

For Father's Day this year we went to Shaker Village, a village that has been maintained in its 1800's state. This included a ride along the Kentucky River on a paddleboat.

Our traditional Father's Day picture. The boys are in shirts they gave Jonny for their first Father's Day.

Isn't Colin a nice bath buddy? He and Aaron have a blast together.

May 2007
Another month of fun activities!

First a visit from Bobba and Zaida...we went to the zoo, made hats for the Kentucky Derby and had lots of fun!

Then Carrie, Dylan and Colin went to Wausau, WI to visit with some Brr mamas: Kari and Bennet (and Nick) and Carla, Angela and Heather. (Bennet and Colin are birthday buddies!)

Dylan and Angela had fun together. Here they are at the Dells of Eau Claire

April 2007
Finally an update....well, possibly several updates. I will try to post more regularly. Here are some of our April highlights.

Easter...Dylan enjoyed painting Easter eggs while Colin enjoyed eating a chocolate bunny!

Watching a morning work-out at Keeneland Spring Meet...complete with a breakfast buffet.

Jonny began the task of putting together the new swing set. We had to start on the street because we needed a flat surface.

After the skeleton was moved to the backyard, we got some help from Dylan and Colin....

....and from Leslie, a friend from Jonny's work.

The finished product...after Jonny spent Memorial Day weekend leveling the ground and adding wood chips....the boys LOVE it.

Dylan in his first soccer game...DJ is third from left.

A VISIT FROM AUNTIE DEE!!!!

My friend from high school (and maid of honor) Danielle came out for a visit at the end of March. Once again, Dylan and Colin were spoiled and did not want her to leave. Even though the airlines lost her luggage (she got it back 2 days after she got home), we all had a great time.

"Look how high Auntie Dee pushes me on the swing!" That is pretty high too. To give you some perspective, Danielle is about 6 feet tall.

We had a camping night when we made s'mores. Yummy....I think Dylan might actually be rubbing some marshmallow in Colin's hair. No wonder it is so curly!

Just hanging out at home.

Dylan and Colin both seem to have an obsession with laundry baskets. Usually it is one of them at a time. This time they managed to both squeeze in there!

It is a bird.....it is a plane.....it is BATMAN....PJs that Dylan wore until he was at least 2 years old are just about too small for Colin already!

AUNTIE MICH, UNCLE B and JELLY BEAN come out to visit us!

The arrival of March Maddness brought us three very special guests. They came out for the first round of the NCAA basketball tournament (which was in Lexington) but I suspect they enjoyed the time with their nephews even more! I know Dylan and Colin LOVED having them here.

Auntie Mich and Jelly Bean with Dylan. Unfortunately I do not have a good belly shot of Mich but, trust me, she had a cute little bump where Jelly Bean is living!

Uncle B and Colin goofing around. They are both so good with their nephews (and one niece) that I am so excited for Jelly Bean to arrive because I know they will be amazing parents.

Hmm.....I wonder if Dylan and Colin are happy to have their Aunt and Uncle visiting? I think so!
