Jonny did not have a conference on Friday so the four of us went into DC and did some sight seeing! We had a really fun time.

The boys really enjoyed going on the subway. Here is Dylan with our friend Wendell who was visiting us at the time.

Our first stop was the White House. Dylan really wanted to see where the president lives. He was fascinated.

Then we made our way to the Smithsonians. They had some great exhibits...here is one where the boys got to use a magnifying glass.

Dylan enjoyed looking through the microscope at some fun slides. It warms our heart to see this! :)

Colin did not quite get the idea of binoculars. But he looks cute using them...even though he is making things look further away rather than closer.

There was a story area and Dylan took the opportunity to "read" to the crowd. He loves the role of mentor/teacher.

One of Colin's favorite books is A Porcupine Named Fluffy (by Helen Lester...my friend Alissa introduced us to her books). So when he saw this porcupine,he got all excited and called it Fluffy.

My monkeys!

Walking around the Washington monument.

We ended our tour at the Lincoln Memorial which was also on Dylan's list of things to see. He is very in to the presidents right now. He actually took this picture! Not bad!
