A Project Post

I keep saying we have been so busy so I thought I would give a taste of some things we have been up to lately.

This is a picture of the front of the house to the right of the front door as it was when we moved in. Mowing that small patch of grass was a big pain in the tuchas and we also were not in love with the bushes so we did some landscaping.

Here it is after all of our work. I really love it. However no one has said anything to us about it so I am a bit nervous that the neighbors are not as in love with it as I am. Oh well. Dylan's favorite thing to do is go sit on the bench in the front yard and "enjoy the beautiful day." The tree is a crabapple tree (I named it Edna...Simpsons fans will get that reference), we added a park bench and a honeysuckle vine in the back along with some various native Kentucky plants and flowers. I cannot wait to see it when everything is all grown in.

Here is our raised vegetable garden in the back of the boys' playset. It is growing amazingly fast. We will see if we actually get to partake in any of the veggies or if the squirrels, chipmunks, bunnies and other animals get to it before we do.

I saw this "exploding box" from a couple of people and I thought it was very cute so I decided to make one for Pinki for Mothers Day.

I included pictures of our Disney trip. It turned out pretty cute.

Colin even liked it!

And finally, the picture frames for the teachers in Dylan and Colin's preschool. I made 14 in all. By the way, for some reason, I could not get this picture to rotate. I have done it many times in the past but this one just would not cooperate.

So the frame was 8 x 10 and I put the teacher's name on top, a picture of the teacher and her students, then below it is a bunch of quotes from the students about what they liked about their teacher. the quotes were really cute. The teachers seemed to enjoy the frames.

Maybe the neighbours can not appreciate the new patch in the garden but I certainly do!!! Much better!

For the veggies.... maybe you can use visnets to cover the plants so it will not get eaten?
